Week 9 DraftKings Fan Duel RB plays

RB

Frank Gore-

DraftKings - $3,800 – 7.6%

Fan Duel - $7,200 – 12%

Gore has had a less than spectacular season thus far.   But when he plays well, its HOME against crappy Defenses.  He gets to play The Rams at home this week.  St Louis gives up 144 yards per game and 8 rushing TD’s.  $3,800 is way too cheap not to play him.  Fan Duel has his salary correct.  He is a must play in Draftkings. Demon Projection: 20 touches, 110 yards, 1 TD

Denard Robinson –

DraftKings $4,800 – 9.6%

Fan Duel $11.6%

Denard has netted 235 yards on 40 carries the last 2 games, one against Miami.  That’s impressive.  He faces a Cinci D that has given up 140 yards per game and 8 TD’s.  He will get the volume, and I think he will put up similar numbers to his two previous games.  Demon Projection: 18 touches, 115 yards, 2 TDs

Jeremy Hill –

DraftKings - $4,000 – 8%

Fan Duel - $5,200 – 8.6%

Gio OUT !!!  Jeremy in !!!!  I have a feeling Cinci is going to run the ball down Jacksonville’s throat.  Jax gives up 115 yards and 5 TD’s this season. I think Green will play this weekend.  The Bengals are a completely different team with AC in the game.  Hill could really go off. Demon Projection (Ballsy) : 25 touches, 140 yards, 2 TD’s

WEEK 9 Fan Duel and Draft Kings QB Picks

QB

Nick Foles

Draft Kings - $7,700 – 15.4%

Fan Duel - $8,400 – 14%

Foles is coming off a nice 411 yard and 2 TD performance last week VS Arizona.  Foles will face a Houston D on Sunday that gives up 271 yards per game and 15 TDs this season, they are the 3rd worst passing D in the NFL.  Houston also has given up 10 plays of 40 or more yards this season against the pass, the MOST in the NFL this season.  THEY HAVE BEEN GETTING BURNED BY THE BIG PLAYS.  I really like the Foles  - Maclin combo this weekend.  Demon Projection :  360 yards, 3 Tds, 1 Int

Ryan Fitzpatrick

Draft Kings - $5,700 – 11.4%

Fan Duel - $6,400 – 10.6 %

I am NOT saying Fitzpatrick is a “Good” play.  I would NEVER say that.  However, if you are looking for a guy, who is cheap, that a very small % of others will be on, he’s worth a shot.  Philly’s pass D is one of the worst in the NFL.  Philly has only given up 3 rushing td’s all season.  Foster will still probably have another monster game, but the probability of Houston throwing to the End Zone is higher than them running it in.  Fitz plays slightly better at home, he has a good matchup, and every once in a while he throws up a 300 + 3 game.  Demon Projection: 295 yards, 3 Tds, 0 Int

Alex Smith

Draft Kings - $5,700 – 11.4%

Fan Duel – 11.8%

Alex Smith practiced in full the past 2 days and will start this weekend at home against the Jets.  The Jets have allowed 22 passing TDs this season.  That is monumentally terrible.  EVERY QB has killed them through the air.  Alex smith won’t throw over 350 yards, he never does, and he doesn’t need to.  I see him throwing 3 short TD passes received by Kelce / Charles/ Bowe.  His price tag is incredibly cheap, I think this is the week to find value in a QB and spend your money elsewhere.  Demon Projection: 245 Yards, 3 Tds, 1 Int

Draft Kings Bargain Thursday Night Basketball Picks

DJ Augustin - $3,500

Augustin played more minutes than Brandon Jennings, who started the game. Augustin finished the game against the Nuggets with 15 points (5-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and six rebounds.  He still will play more minutes than Jennings if Jennings Struggles.  They are  at Minnesota, and T-Wolves D don't scare no one.  If he can mimic the numbers he did last game, he is an extreme value at $3500

Shane Larkin - $3,000

Jose Calderon is out of the picture with an injury.  Larkin gets the start tonight.  Granted, his matchup is not ideal, home opener for the Cavs, but he might get a lot of garbage time production if this game gets out of hand.  He is as cheap as it gets, not promising anything except he will be on the court more than any other $3000 player

Otto Porter Jr - $3,000

This my be my favorite play tonight.  He is coming off a really solid game: 13 points, four rebounds, a steal and a 3-pointer on 4-of-7 shooting Wednesday.  Paul Pierce played 32 minutes last night, I see Otto's minutes increasing a little, and The Truths going down a couple.  Porter squares up against a banged up Orlando team.

Tonight's Draft Kings Bargain Picks- Basketball

Donald Sloan - $3000 (minimum)

Sloan will start tonight and probably log in 30 Plus minutes with George Hill and and CJ Watson sidelined.  Going up a terrible 76ers Defense, he could easily earn his $3000 price tag.

Terry Allen - $3900

Starting at home against a Minnesota Defense that will struggle to say the least, Allen should contribute enough stats to make $3900 a bargain.

Kevin Seraphin - $3000 (minimum)

With Blair, Nene, and Humphries all sidelined tonight, Seraphin has looked good this preseason and will log in serious minutes at least for tonight.  Again, at $3000, you really cant go wrong.

CJ Miles - $3,800

Miles will start tonight at small forward.  Vegas has Indiana scoring 110 points tonight.  With so many of their scorers out, some  production will have to come from Miles.

WEEK 9  BUY / SELL / HOLD

BUY-  Alfred Morris

So far Alf Morris has had a pretty disappointing campaign.  513 yards on 133 carries is nothing spectacular.  He went from being somebody's #1 RB to their #2 or Flex.  I see his numbers bouncing back closer to his 2012 and 2013 numbers.  Having RG3 back in there can only help the still 26 year old running back.  Mobile QBs you usually distract the D enough to give opposing Running backs some room and holes.  You can still get Morris cheap compared to his 2nd rd draft position.  For what it will cost you, I d be willing to pay with better production on the Horizon.  Remaining schedule:  Minnesota , BYE, Tampa, San Fran, St Louis, Giants, Philly

SELL - Tom Brady

Before the Buffalo game at the beginning of the month The Experts were saying he was droppable.  Now, he's the 2nd best QB in the NFL ??  The fans were questioning if it was time for Garoppolo.     He has strung together 3 awesome fantasy starts, but still has 5 borderline shitty games this season.  He had great games against The Jets, Buffalo, and Chicago, 3 of the WORST Passing D's in the NFL.  I m not saying his numbers will be as PATHETIC as his 234 yard performance against Oakland AT HOME, but he's not throwing 4 or 5 TDs per game going forward.  Find a knuckle head in your league that thinks this is Tom Brady 2007, and rob him/her blind.  Remaining Schedule: Denver, BYE, Indy, Detroit, Green Bay, San Diego, Miami, Jets

HOLD - Arian Foster

I'm not trading this guy for anything.  He is the Antonio Brown of the RB world.  CONSISTENT !!!  20 plus touches every game, over 100 yards every game, a td every game.  924 total yards and 9 TDs thus far.  Plug him in your lineup, and relax, you know what you're going to get out of him.  Redraft, he's going #1 overall, Murray is close, but gun to my head, I'm taking Arian.  Remaining Schedule :  Philly, BYE, Cleveland, Cinci, Titans, Jax, Indy, Baltimore

Add Em, Screw Em WEEK 9

ADD

Martavis Bryant - The rookie wideout has looked OUTSTANDING his past two games.  7 receptions on 12 targets for 123 yards and 3 TD's.  That kind of production does not belong on the waiver wire.  With Antonio Brown and Lev Bell commanding so much attention from the Defense, expect Bryant's production to be there going forward.  He is my #1 add of the week.

Carson Palmer - Palmer is still un-owned in the majority of 10 or 12 team leagues.  Passed 3 games 832 yards, 6 TDs, 1 INT, you could do worse.  He is a very consistent QB, his upcoming schedule is decent, he makes a strong back up QB or bye week replacement.  I expect his numbers to be very similar going forward; 275 yards and 2 TD's per game.

Charles Sims / Robert Rainey - Doug Martin is hurt, or not playing, or wont be with the team, or not worth starting.  Someone has to carry the ball on this God Awful Tampa Bay team.  This week it will be Rainey.  They face the Browns this week, a team that gives up 145 yards per game to opposing running backs.  If you need someone THIS week pick up Rainey, if you are looking for someone long term, pick up Sims.  Damn you Doug Martin, you owe me.

Screw

Anthony Dixon/ Bryce Brown - Told ya.  These two Hall of Fame sure bets combined for an earth shattering 59 yards on 29 carries.  Not only that, the goal line TD went to Suzanne Somers.  Gross.  Both of these guys are worthless, Fred Jackson will be back week 10 or 11, Bills have a bye week this week.  Drop either or both of them this week.

Eddie Royal - Royals blazing hot start has really fizzled the past 4 games.  9 receptions, for 138 yards, and 1 TD in a 4 game span is pretty pedestrian.  There are probably guys on your wire with more upside than Royal.  Make the switch

Devin Hester - Hester has had 2 solid games this season as a WR, he has also had 6 games of pure crap.  Last game against Lions, zero production, not even a target.  100% not ownable, I d rather have a backup kicker on my squad.  I cant believe he is owned in 25% of leagues.

Trade Marshawn Lynch.........TODAY

Things in Seattle are getting UGLY.  Pete Carroll and Lynch cant stand each other, I have a suspicion that Russell Wilson and Lynch aren't " 2 Strawing " milkshakes together either.  Its Carroll's team, this situation CAN NOT benefit Lynch's production in any possible way.  I see Robert Turbin getting more touches, and possibly some goal line looks as well.  Marshawn Lynch is a huge asset to the team, they aren't going to cut him like Harvin (basically), or bench him, they can't, he is too good.  That being said, I just don't see Lynch killing himself for this team or Carroll doing him any favors for his stats.  Even taking the drama out of the situation, Lynchs numbers the past 3 weeks have not been great.  42 carries, for 176 yards and zero TDs .  Besides that, Lynch does not have a cake schedule going forward: weeks 12- 16 Seattle plays Arizona twice (2nd best rush defense in NFL) and San Fran twice (3rd best rush D in NFL).  That's not exactly the schedule you want your RB 1 having going into and during the playoffs.  Lynch still has name recognition and could fetch you serious talent in a trade.  Throw some offers out there, put him on the block, and let him become somebody else's nightmare.

CALVIN JOHNSON, Reggie Bush OUT, Joique Bell a must start

This game kicks off in 45 minutes.  Set your lineups accordingly.  If you were on the fence with Bell, put him in, hes in for a big game.  Falcons Run D is TERRIBLE

WEEK 8 Fan Duel and Draft Kings Top Plays

QB

Nick Foles

DraftKings - $6,300 - 12.6% of budget

Fan Duel -$8.200 – 13.6% of budget

Foles faces an Arizona D that has given up 280 yards per game in 2014 season (2nd worst in NFL).  Coming off a bye week never hurts either.  Demon Projection: 295 Yards 3 TD, 1 Int

Tony Romo

DraftKings - $7,400 14.8% of budget

Fan Duel $8200 – 13.6% of budget

Philly, Arizona, and The Giants have torched this D so far.  I have to believe that Romo and Dez do the same thing at home this weekend.  Washington has given up 15 passing TDs this season.  Demon Projection: 305 3 TD, 1 int

RB

Matt Forte

DraftKings -$8,800 – 17.6% of budget

Fan Duel - $9,500 – 15.8% of budget

Forte faces a Patriots D that gives up an average of 126 yards per game (9th worst in NFL), The Pats passing D is one of the best (on paper) in the NFL.  Forte will see a ton of action this weekend, and although he is very expensive, he is still worth the hefty price tag.  Demon Projection: 90 Rushing yards, 1 TD, 7 receptions, 66 yards, 1 RE TD

Ben Tate

DraftKings- $4,600 – 9.2% of budget

Fan Duel - $7,000 – 11.6 % of budget

Ben Tate has averaged 21 carries the past 3 weeks.  Last week, this did not matter, because he carried the ball 16 times for 36 yards.  That entire Browns Offense did not click last weekend.  This weekend, at home, they face an Oakland D that gives up almost 145 yards per game with 6 TDs attached to it.  I believe Tate will get back on track this weekend,  his prices are attractive.  Demon projection: 132 yards 1 Td

WR

Jeremy  Maclin

DraftKings - $5,500 – 11% of budget

Fan Duel - $8,000 – 13.3% of budget

Maclin faces Arizona who gives up 280 yards per game to Offenses in the air.  Maclin is the #1 WR on Philly, someone has to get the bulk of that 280 yards, Maclin seems like the safest bet.  Demon Projection: 8 receptions 115 yards, 1 TD

Greg Jennings

DraftKings $4000 – 8% of budget

Fan Duel - $5,500 – 9.16% of budget

Jennings targets and numbers have been on the incline the past 4 weeks.  He faces a Tampa D that gives up 295 yards per game, and 15 TD’s.  the worst in the league.  He could be in for a monster game, Patterson, the only other legit receiver on the team, has seen his targets and production go down the past few games.  Jennings is the guy.  Demon Projection 11 receptions, 133 yards, 2 TD

Defense

Cowboys

DraftKings - $3000 – 6% of budget

Fan Duel - $4,700 – 7.8% of buget

They face Colt McCoy at home, what else do we need to know?

Houston

DraftKings - $3400 – 6.8% of Budget

Fan Duel - $5,100 – 8.5% of budget

They face a rookie QB, that can get messy.  Titans have struggled offensively regardless.  Clowney looks like a go, and Watt is drooling.

Sign up for DraftKings or Fan Duel and plug in some of these picks.  $5 minimum deposit, give it a shot.  It s a blast.  Use the links on this page to go directly to either site.  GOOD LUCK !!!

Why I am playing Doug Martin in Draft Kings, but not Fan Duel

Draft Kings- $4400- 8.8% of budget
Fan Duel - $6600- 13.2% of budget

Doug Martin has been a huge disappointment this year.  That being said, he is still the primary back in Tampa Bay.  Doug Martin is one big play away from figuring it all out again.  The chances it comes this week, against a Minnesota D that has given up the 5th most fantasy points to running backs this season, is very possible.  Martin got some extra rest with Tampa having their bye week last weekend.  I'm not guaranteeing Martin has that monster game, but I do think its coming.  This is a good of a chance as he might have.  Martins price point on Draft Kings is just too low for me not to plug him in there.  This week he is cheaper than Denard Robinson, Chris Ivory, Darren McFadden, and Trent Richardson.  His potential is there, in a big GPP tournament, these are the type of guys you have to hit on to finish in the top of the $$.  Fan Duel has him more expensive, and more at a price point he deserves to be at.  These sites price their players on their own, and value and pricing does vary.  Take the value in Martin and give it a shot.

Add Em / Screw Em Week 8 (Part 2)

Add

Travaris Cadet - Pierre Thomas appears to be sidelined for the next 2 to possibly 3 weeks with a shoulder injury, Khiry Robinson is also banged up with a forearm issue.  This will open the door for Cadet to see an increase in reps, and targets.  He catches passes out of the backfield, and is not worth picking up in a non-PPR format.  Past 3 games Cadet has been targeted 20 times, has 15 receptions, 130 yards, and a TD.  That's not bad for someone you probably have never heard of.  With Thomas and Robinson banged up, he could be a good flex option this week and a sneaky play in Draft Kings / Fan Duel.

RG III - Robert Griffin THE 3 RD is currently owned in 35% of Yahoo leagues.  Just 8 short weeks ago, he was being drafted in the 7th round.  Some experts predicted he would finish in the top 5 for QB's by seasons end.  He wont play this week, but I think he will play next week versus Minnesota (kind of nice getting thrown back against a crap D).  I am a believer in RG3, and he should be owned in almost all leagues.  2 years ago he was amazing, if he's on your wire, and you need some QB depth, scoop him up, he wont be sitting there for too long.

Houston D-  Great bye week D to play this week or if you subscribe to the Defense Roulette strategy.  Houston faces a rookie QB in ZACH METTENBERGER.  JJ Watt my sack this load 4 times by himself.  This is going to get messy, Shonn Greene out, Sankey looks weak, an immobile rookie QB, Houston D could get you 15 Plus points this weekend.

SCREW

Brian Hoyer-  Brian Hoyer is to be dropped.  Hoyer has completed a WHOPPING 43.05% of his passes the past 2 weeks against Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. His QB rating of 46.3 against the Jags is awe inspiring to me.  One of the worst performances from a QB I ve seen in a long time.  Its Johnny football time, its coming.  I tried to get cute in some of my daily lineups by starting Hoyer and Jordan Cameron, and like always, getting cute loses you money.  Brian Hoyer screwed me last week, I'm screwing him this week..

Terrance West-  West stepped in when Ben Tate was hurt and got some production: a 100 yard game VS Pittsburgh, and back to back TD performances against New Orleans and Baltimore.  The game VS Baltimore he ran 12 times for 36 yards with that TD.  His numbers since then have been even worse: 12 attempts for 39 yards and nothing else.  This is Ben Tates' job, and even if he goes down (which is very possible) Isiah Crowell is going to be the guy to take off the starting gig.

Markus Wheaton - Wheaton looked like a nice little PPR sleeper in the first few games of the season.  He had nice targets, decent yardage, and some good reception numbers.  The past 3 games he has been so bad that Martavis Bryant has taken his spot on the depth Chart.  If you are a Wheaton owner, swapping him out for Bryant isn't a terrible option if your waiver wire is scarce.

Why I'm not paying for Aaron Rodgers this weekend

Aaron Rodgers
Draft Kings $9000 - 18% of Budget
Fan Duel $10000 - 16% of Budget

Rodgers has looked Spectacular his past 4 games.  He has thrown 13 TDs in that time frame, and hasn't even logged in any significant 4th quarter minutes versus Carolina, and Minnesota.  Rodgers and his arsenal face a sub-par Saints D this weekend in New Orleans.  So, why not pay for Rodgers?  Answer: Its in New Orleans.  Rodgers does not play well on turf.  This year, Rodgers QB rating on turf is 84.8, on grass 135.7.  That is a HUGE jump in the wrong direction.  2013 90.4 on turf, 126.4 on grass, that's more than coincidence.  Maybe it hurts his knees, or messes with his head, or the guy just loves grass, regardless, Aaron Rodgers hates turf.  I'm not telling you to bench Aaron Rodgers in your season long leagues, although the chances of him putting up a monster game are very slim.  I am saying that Rodgers being the most expensive QB on Sunday, is NOT worth the hefty price tag.  Find your value elsewhere, and if you need to pay for a top tier guy, look at a different position other than QB.

WEEK 8 BUY, SELL, HOLD WIDE RECIEVERS

BUY

Kelvin Benjamin-  The kid is a touchdown machine, he has 5 TDs after 34 receptions.  He averages a TD every 7 receptions, that's remarkable.  Cam Newton has 2 options in this offense, Benjamin and Olsen, there is honestly NO OTHER OPTIONS.  Carolina cant run the ball, their formula going forward is simple: Newton throw to Benjamin/ Olsen or run it yourself.  The biggest bonus with having Benjamin is his upcoming schedule : Seattle (lone ugly one) New Orleans, @Philly, Atlanta, BYE, @Minnesota, @New Orleans, Tampa, Cleveland.  You cant hand select an easier schedule.  I would pay up for the kid, pay a WR2 price for someone who I believe will put up WR1 numbers for the rest of the season.

Draft Demon prediction:  Kelvin Benjamin finishes the season with 12 + touchdowns

SELL

Steve Smith Sr-  Steve Smith has probably been the best 14th round draft pick of the year.  He racked up 400 + yards and 3 touchdowns in his first 4 games this season.  If you saw that coming, you are a liar.  Steve Smith still has a lot of value today, but its starting to drop slightly.  Trade him now before it dips any lower.  It could nose dive.  His targets have gone from 10, 7, 6, to 5 this past weekend.  Torrey Smiths targets and production has gone up, as has Owen Daniels.  I'm not saying he is worthless or drop-able, its just a sell high situation while you can.  The Ravens remaining schedule is less than awesome as well;  @Cinci, @Pittsburgh, Tennesse, Bye, @New Orleans, San Diego, @Miami, Jax, @Houston

Draft Demon prediction:  Steve Smith SR rides your bench during the playoffs

Hold

Antonio Brown - I'm not trading him for anybody.  I want him over Demarius Thomas, Megatron, Jordy Nelson, and Julio Jones for one simple reason: CONSISTENCY .  50 receptions, 700 PLUS Yards and 5 Tds, best in the NFL numbers, but what amazes me is how equally spread his production has come from.  He has not had less than 90 yards receiving in any game thus far this year, he has not had any more than 131.  The above mentioned gang all have had a few games with less than stellar numbers.  I like to put a guy in my lineup who I can feel 100% safe with knowing what his production is going to be.  Brown is that guy.  Don't trade him

Draft Demon prediction:  Antonio Brown ends this season as the #1 ranked WR

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

ADD EM / SCREW EM

Week 8

ADD

Denard Robinson-  Robinson carried 22 times for 127 yards and a TD last Sunday.  He looked explosive, and smart.  The Toby Gerhart experiment has failed, and Storm Johnson doesn't appear to get it quite yet either.  The Jags are going to give Denard the chance to be the lead back, and any RB on the wire who will get 15 PLUS touches per game is a must own.  The fact that he has been target almost 15 times under limited action is a nice bonus.  He may be the Justin Forsett of Jacksonville.

Doug Baldwin- Plain and simple, with Percy Harvin going to NY, somebody his to fill his shoes.  That leaves Jermaine Kearse and Doug Baldwin.  Baldwin will slide into the slot position, which he has done well in previously in his career.  Russell Wilson demands so much defensive attention, slot guys like Baldwin could easily see 12 targets and 9 or 10 receptions a game going forward.  Baldwin put up 7 receptions for 123 and a TD last weekend.  That's WR1 numbers from someone who probably was on your wire.  Pick him up.

Stevie Johnson-  The guy that almost didn't make the 49ers looks like their best WR right now!!  Johnson got 5 for 79 and a TD this weekend.  Meanwhile Crabtree has been targeted 27 times in the past 4 games for 13 receptions and 135 yards.  This is disgusting.  Remember, Stevie Johnson from 2010 to 2012 racked up 3000 YARDS and 23 Touchdowns.  He is only 28 years old.  He has talent, and is probably the best receiver on this team.  SF has a bye this week, but if you have a space, jump on him before next week

Screw em

Bryce Brown-  Spiller probably done for the season.  Fred Jackson out with groin injury.  SOMEBODY IN THE BILLS BACKFIELD IS A MUST OWN !!  Wrong.  Brown is an average RB with the following upcoming schedule:  Jets, BYE, KC, Miami, Jets.  Not ideal for an average at best RB.  Fred Jackson will by back after the bye week, so if you HAVE to play Bryce Brown this weekend against The Jets, have at it.  If he is your best option this week, you have huge problems

Anthony Dixon-  SEE BRYCE BROWN

Adrian Peterson-  (Non keeper league).  Its time, its hard to press the "confirm" on this one.  To drop your 1st overall pick for a non injury is a kick to the boys.  Truth is, he is taking up a roster spot, and doing you no good.  He isn't playing this year, his court date is in December, the Vikings are terrible, even if he doesn't face prison time, The Vikings will suspend him for the remainder of the season for PR reasons.  Its time.

LAST MINUTE DRAFT KINGS PLAYS

Bishop Sankey $3900 - 7.8% of Budget.  Windy conditions in Washington today could make passing the ball rather difficult for The Skins and The Titans.  Shonn Greene is OUT today, leaving a possible 15 Plus carry day for Sankey.  Skins run D is decent, but not amazing.  For $3900 you might be able to get RB 1 value at a RB2/ Flex price.  Worth the risk.

Golden Tate $5900 - 11.8 % of Budget  Calvin Johnson out.  Lions face a terrible Saints D in Detroit.  Tate could be in for a MONSTER day, look for him to be targeted 10 plus times.  Could have a couple huge plays and return his value in the 1st half alone.  This game might be a bit of a shoot out, Tate is the guy.  Roll with him

DON'T SHY AWAY FROM KELVIN BENJAMIN

Benjamin has been cleared to play this weekend by the NFL.  If you have him, start him.  His matchup is not wonderful, but not terrible either.  Cam Newton has looked better and better each week, and Packers D is nothing special.  Benjamin and Olsen are Newtons only two legit weapons.  Benjamin has been questionable all week because of a slight concusion suffered last weekend.  This is not the type of injury that will slow him down or effect his performance today like a pulled hammy, or ankle sprain would.  I wouldn't be shocked if the rookie gets 65 PLUS yards and a TD.  Roll with him, and hope for the best.

WEEK 7 Draft Kings top Value Plays

QB:
  1.  Aaron Rodgers $8800 -  17.6% of Budget  Home against a Carolina D that has given up 12 passing TDs this season and 250 yards per game.  If youre going to go expensive at QB, he is your guy this weekend
  2. Kirk Cousins $7400-  14.8% of Budget  Home against a Titans D that has given up 11 TDs this season and 250 yards per game.  Starting to get Chemistry with Jackson, Reed back, could be a big game for Cousins
  3. Brian Hoyer $5600 – 11.2% of Budget
Hoyer is an undervalued fantasy asset.  Going against the worst ranked pass D in Jacksonville.  If he can put up 300 yards with 3 TDs, for this price, you will be well on your way to the $$.  He is worth the risk this week.
Running Backs
  1. Gio Bernard $7800 – 15.6% of Budget  He produces week after week.  Indy D doesn’t scare me, playing indoors, Green and now Marvin Jones banged up, this is going to be the Sanu and Gio show.  If you’re going to pay for a top end RB, he is your guy this week.
  2. Justin Forsett $5600 – 11.2% of Budget  This price point is just too low to pass up.  He could have a huge game against a pathetic Atlanta D.  Expect the Ravens to run all day long, with Forsett leading the charge.
  3. Isaiah Crowell $4000 – 8.0 % of Budget  I expect Crowell to find the end zone once, possibly twice this weekend at Jacksonville.  When given the chance, he produces.  If this game becomes a blowout, Tate will rest, and Crowell will stuff it done The Jaguars throat.

WR
  1. Antonio Brown $7900 – 15.8% of Budget  Houston D gives up 270 yards per game and 10 TD’s this season.  But the real intriguing stat is they have given up 7 plays this season of 40 or more yards.  Antonio Brown is a big play guy, one big TD play could return his value.  I expect a huge day out of Brown, I would guess that whoever wins the big GPP tourney this weekend, will have Brown in there.
  2. Andre Holmes $4800 – 8.6% of Budget  Derek Carr looks like he will start Sunday.  That’s good news for Holmes, these two have looked like best buds the past 2 weeks.  At home, against a shockingly horrible Arizona Pass D, Holmes could be the extreme Value pick this week at $4800
  3. Taylor Gabriel $3000 (Minimum) – 6.0% of Budget  This is not a “safe” pick, however, at $3000, its worth a shot in a big field tournament.  I expect Hoyer to have a big day, Jordan Cameron can’t catch ALL of Hoyer’s TD’s, someone else has to be involved.  Gabriel is coming off a nice game with a season high 6 targets, hes my guy this week, roll with the hot hand.  Putting him in at $3000 could be very profitable and make you like the Draft Demon himself.

Tight End

  1. JORDAN CAMERON $4600 – 8.2% of Budget  I will never give out my entire lineups on this site, I will always give my best advice possible without giving away my entire hand.  I will tell you this, I am putting Jordan Cameron is every lineup that I will play this weekend.  Great matchup, looked awesome last week, I don’t LOVE any other TE this weekend.  Get him now while you can afford him.  Next week he will be in the Julius Thomas price range.
  2. Larry Donnell $3500 – 6.7% of Budget  He could go off, hes done it before, Cruz going down can only help him and his targets, especially in the Red Zone.  I have little faith in Eli, but he has done well against Dallas in the past.  He could get 2 Td’s, or could get 2 targets.  At $3500, he is worth the risk

Daily Fantasy Sports 101

The days of placing bets through your bookie are over.  It’s illegal, and let’s face it, you don’t win.  Daily fantasy sports is one of the fastest growing industries in America.  Its far more exciting that laying $100 on the Lions to cover, and it’s also MORE PREDICTABLE.   You also cant bet $27 on any team and win $1,000,000 with that one initial $27 bet.  The best of the best make a truly good living on just playing daily fantasy, the more effort and time you put in, the better the reward.  The most important factor is : KNOWLEDGE IS EVERYTHING

  1.  Pray on the masses of the lazy and uneducated.  This is not a crap shoot, as luck does play a role in this, it’s never a coin flip.  The same people consistently win money for a reason, RESEARCH and STRATEGY.  There will be a high percentage of players who will pick their favorite players for the week, or make the backbone of their weekly lineup on a “Hunch”.  9 out of 10 times, this WILL NOT work.  If QB X plays well in stadiums, and is going up against a banged up secondary, that makes him an intriguing and possible good play.  If QB Y is coming off a 5 TD performance, but is terrible outdoors, and has a bad matchup, he is not.  You would be amazed at the amount of people who will take QB Y just for the sake that he’s coming off a huge game.  Do some research, (Or I will do some of it for you) , get an advantage against the other players, and LET EVERYBODY ELSE MAKE THE MISTAKE.  You do not have to be perfect to profit, you just have to make more informed, and better choices than the majority.

  2. KNOW THE FORMAT.  There are basically 3 types of games to play.

HEAD to HEAD:  You make up your best lineup staying within your salary cap.  Your opponent makes his best lineup staying within the salary cap.  At the end of the day, whoever has the most points, wins the other guys “buy-in” for that specific game.  You can play someone head to head for $1 all the way up to $500.  (As expected, the higher the amount, the better your opponent is going to be, but not always)

50/50:     These are popular for a reason, you don’t have to be perfect to get paid.  If 100 people are in the tournament, you only have to be 49th best to double your money.  100 people pay $100, 1st place through 50th get $200, 51st through 100th get nothing.  AGAIN, LET THE OTHERS MAKE THE MISTAKES.  These tourneys are good for “Safe Lineups”.  Just as long as all your players contribute just enough, you will win.  You don’t need a running back to go for 200 yards and 3 tds, you just have to a lineup that is a good balance.  It’s a great way to double up your initial investment.

Big Field Tourneys:    Here is the games for the gamblers and dreamers.  These are also the most fun.  1000s of people enter the same tourney.  Your lineup against everybodys.  It is NOT easy for anyone to consistently finish in the money in this format.  However, all it takes is ONE really good/ lucky lineup to win HUGE money.  The 1st place prize in these tournaments are amazing, usually anywhere from $15,000 to $1,000,000.  The top 10% all get paid as well, and the prize varies depending on the field size.  I made most of my fantasy money past baseball season doing Large Tourneys.  I did not win the majority of the time, but when I did, it was big.  The risk is worth the reward in my opinion on these, it really makes it exciting.  Other than the lottery, I don’t know of any way to bet $27 and win a million.

These are THE BASICS you need to know to play.  Strategies vary, find which one works for you, and profit.  Again, you can’t go into any of these blind, the more knowledge you have and the more research you do, the more you will profit.

Can you sit Drew Brees this weekend !!??

NO.  Is this even really coming up in conversation?  Brees faces the #1 passing Defense in the NFL: The Dteroit Lions.  The Lions have held opposing teams to UNDER 200 yards per game average, on top of that, they have only given up an amazing 5 passing td's all season.  They went from one of the worst Secondarys in the league to the best.  They have played amazing, so why start a QB without his top playmaker(Jimmy Graham), on the road, against the #1 ranked Defense?  Because its DREW BREES.  His home/road splits are worth taking a look at, but Brees plays well indoors, some of his less than stellar games come from outside, with the elements in play.  He plays well inside, and although he wont throw for 400 and 4 this weekend, he wont get shutout either, he never does.  He still has weapons, and will find a way to produce, like he always does.  Drew Brees is "Matchup-proof".  Unless you have Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning or possibly Andrew Luck, you role with him.  Don't get cute, he wont break records this Sunday, but will be just fine.

Demon Projection:  30/40 for 288 and 2 TDs

START or SIT week 7 RBs

START:

Justin Forsett is at home this week VS Atlanta.  Atlanta's run Defense is HORRIBLE.  They  have given up 140 yards per game to the RB position and have given up 12 rushing tds this season.  It doesn't get much worse than that.  Bernard Pierce has proved to everyone this year that he can not, will not, and will never be an effective running back in the NFL.  Forsett has been nothing short of spectacular this year.  I think Forsett is in for a big fantasy game, especially in PPR formats

Fred Jackson could be a sneaky play this week.  I expect him to carry the ball 15 times and be targeted 5-8 times.  Minnesota's run D is nothing spectacular, and dome defenses tend to play a little sloppy outside.  CJ Spiller is a MESS, and I don't see him stealing to many carries from Jackson.  I predict Buffalo have a sizeable lead in this game and will be running the ball as much as possible in the 2nd half..  If you have him, he makes a good RB2 or Flex option this week.

SIT:

Matt Asiata/ Jerrick McKinnon. The two headed monster get an extremely difficult Buffalo Run Defense this week at Buffalo.  They may split carries 50/50, maybe its a 75/25 split, nobody knows, regardless, neither of these two will produce this weekend.  Leave them on the bench, I would start Isaiah Crowell or even Storm Johnson over either.  This game is setting up for a blowout, bench them.

Stacy/Cunningham/Mason.  This position is wide open today on who is where this weekend on the depth chart.  Its a headache, they are playing Seattle, the risk is not worth the reward.  Even if Stacy gets 15 carries, I don't think he can even scrounge 70 yards with it.  Like I said Tuesday, Tre Mason will be the guy at some point soon, just not this weekend.  Avoid the Rams runners this week like Ebola

Victor Cruz to IR

Victor Cruz is done for the 2014 NFL season.  A torn Patellar Tendon will put an end to his pitiful year.  Cruz was on pace to have his worst totals in receptions, yards, and TDs.  On the bright side, you no longer have to fight with your weekly struggle to bench or play one of your "top offensive" players, the choice is now made for you.  Cruz being taken out of the picture makes the future a lot brighter for Rueben Randle, and Larry Donnell.  Ruben Randle is averaging nearly 10 targets per game, and that number will only increase making him a possible PPR monster.  Larry Donnell has virtually disappeared the passed 2 weeks, making him possibly back on your waiver wire.  If he is, he is worth picking up, his red zone looks will increase and he will be worked back into this offense.  I'm going to pass on Odell Beckham JR, I don't love what I've seen of him, and neither does Tom Coughlin.  Randle and Donnell will benefit the most due to the absence of Cruz.

BUY, SELL, HOLD

HOLD:  TORREY SMITH

Just when you think its time to cut bait with Torrey Smith, the TB Secondary makes you think twice.  Smith has under-achieved all season long, and has made you sick for wasting a 5th round pick on him.   2 tds and a decent game later, things have changed, kind of.  Steve Smith the Senior has stolen the thunder that Torrey Smith created through his 2011, 2012, and 2013 seasons.  His yards per game average has been cut in half this season from 70 to 35.  He was targeted 137 times last season, is now on pace for UNDER 100 for the 2014 season.  BUT, things are going to get better for Torrey.  It seems like the chemistry that Pita had with Flacco is not there with Owen Daniels.  Steve Smith SR is going to start to get more attention from Defenses leaving Torrey Smith with more possible fantasy stats than previous weeks.  Baltimore has a nice stretch of games on the horizon, and Steve Smiths targets will fall while Torrey Smiths will rise.  There will be a balance between these two, and Sundays 2 td performance is a good sign that things will get better.  You have to HOLD him, and get some of that 5th rd value for the remainder of the season.  You cant SELL him, you would still be selling him for 60 cents on the dollar.  Wait it out, his season will only get better.
BUY, SELL, HOLD

SELL:  BRIAN QUICK

Brian Quick has been a nice fantasy "sleeper" so far.  22 Receptions, 35 Targets, 300 + yards and 3 TDs.  What's not to like:  A mediocre QB that has over-performed against 5 bad Defenses so far.  Minnesota, TB, Dallas and Philly, that's were this production came from.  Quick has had the benefit of playing sub par secondary's and raised his stock in the process.  Last nights game was more realistic: 1 reception, 10 yards, on 4 targets.  That's what happens when you play a better Defense.  He is a talented guy, he has the right makeup to be a top WR, he's just playing in the wrong offense right now.  The O line is not good, Austin Davis looked terrible against the blitz last night, and other teams are going to milk that going forward.  Up next for The Rams: 4 of the next 5 games Seattle, KC, Denver, and San Diego.  Those magical numbers will disappear fast.  Its not his fault, i'm not knocking the guy, its just a bad setup and the cards are stacked against him.  Try to steal a Pierre Garcon, Kendall Wright or Keenan Allen for him.  Somebody will make that mistake.  His value will only go down in the upcoming weeks.

BUY, SELL, HOLD

Buy: Doug Martin

His value will NEVER be lower than it is today.  TB is going into a bye week, and I have seen people actually dropping him.  Last year was a bust due to a freak torn shoulder Labrum, and even before the injury, he didn't look as sharp as he did in his 2012 Rookie Campaign.  He has looked less than stellar this year, and has been giving up carries to Bobby Rainey.  Here is the reason to get him for next to nothing if you can, HIS 2012 ROOKIE CAMPAIGN!  OVER 1900 yards and 12 TDS !!  He got a lot of this production from big games against bad D's, but 1900 and 12 is insane.  He may never get back to those numbers, BUT, he has done it before.  He is only 25 years old, his previous shoulder injury shouldn't hinder his production going forward.  Tampa Bay is invested in him, he is not going to take a back seat to Bobby Rainey because Bobby Rainey isn't good.  Another reason, his next 4 games he has Minnesota, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Washington.  He had 11 for 45 last week, but had a nice 19 yard carry in there. You don't have to give up a big name for him.   He will figure it out again, and for the price you can get him for today, the risk is worth the reward.  Roll the dice on him, his upside is huge, he has the pedigree, he has done it before.

Add Him, Screw Him

Week 7, time to get serious.

ADD HIM

#1 Andre Holmes

It looks like Carr has a new favorite target.  With no legit other offensive weapons, grab the best of the worst.  He has 20 targets, 9 receptions, and 200 yds in the past 2 games.  Holmes goes  against one of the worst Passing D's in the NFL this weekend, Arizona gives up 309 yards per game and 8.1 Yards per reception.  Carr looks a little better each week, and is borderline legit.  If you need a WR3 or week flex option, pick him up

Demon Projection:  7 receptions, 86 yds, TD

#2 Brandon LaFell

He was good last year with Cam, not GREAT, but did have some solid games.  He seems to be a deep threat boom or bust player.  Past 2 games he is averaging over 20 yards per reception, and could get you 3 points one week, or 23 points the next.  If you are willing to take the gamble with a Belichick player, he could pan out.  He's done it before, and I like the matchup against the Jets.  WR's have been torching NY all season, and with the running game in shambles and question marks, Brady will throw the ball 35 PLUS times Thursday night.  Hes gonna KILL you some weeks, but will pay off in others.

Demon Projection:  5 Receptions,  62 yds, TD

#3 Tre Mason

This is more of a speculative/ dynasty/ Keeper league ADD.  Get him.  He's good.  He looked really good last night, he made 5 above average plays and was only out on the field for 10 snaps.  Zac Stacy is NOT good.  If you grabbed him in the 2nd or 3rd round this year, you should be ashamed of yourself.  Benny Cunningham is a nice change of pace back, but will never carry the rock 20 times per game.  Mason will, it wont be immediate, but its coming.   By late November he will be the lead back, and a talented one at that.

Demon Projection:  7 carries for 40 yards, 2 receptions 15 yards

SCREW HIM

#1  Jerick McKinnon

He had one great game against Atlanta where he went off.  Congrats, so does every other RB that faces The Falcons.  Asiata, has not looked great, but he is the better of the 2.  McKinnon is the flavor of the week, but averaged 3.6 yards/carry against Detroit last week and only 3.4 against a terrible run defense in GB.  If you have a spot pick him up, but don't drop anyone significant for him INCLUDING ASIATA.

Demon Projection:    Pick him up this week, back on the waiver wire by week 10

#2  Eli Manning

He is awful.  He hasn't been good in years.  He randomly will throw in a great game every 4 or 5 starts.  But will have stat lines of this in the middle :  21/45 for 187 yards, 1 TD, 4 Int.  He is not a good fantasy QB nor is he a good real life QB.  Its not worth the headache to even own him.  Drop him, pick up Blake Bortles or Locker.

Demon Projection:  He will walk to the sideline with a sulk on his face after Dallas picks him off for the 3rd time

#3  Bernard Pierce

Half of the public will look at the scoring only and see that he scored a TD this weekend.  He carried the ball 15 TIMES FOR 32 YARDS, that's 2.1 yards per attempt.  Don't get cute, Forsett is the guy, Pierce is3rd best RB on this team.  Don't waste a claim or your time on him

Demon Projection:  Forsett, Forsett, Forsett
